Graduation is the official conferral/awarding of degrees earned. Dominican confers degrees five times each year. For actual conferral dates see the academic calendar.
Commencement celebrates the completion of degree programs. Dominican holds only one commencement in spring to which students from all five dates are invited to participate. For more information see the commencement page.
Graduation Applications are submitted prior to your final semester to determine eligibility for degree conferral. These applications should not be confused with commencement participation.
Applications for Fall degree conferral must be submitted before September 3rd, 2021.

Dominican holds one commencement ceremony each year to which we invite all prospective Spring and Summer graduates to join the Dominican University community for the Spring Commencement Ceremony.
Dominican University has been closely monitoring COVID-19 restrictions and the State of Illinois Reopening Plan as we prepare for the May 2021 Commencement Ceremonies.
